Diane Thibault'S Macaroni & Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1-1/2 c. Elbow Macaroni
    3 Tbsp. Butter
    2 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour
    1/2 tsp. Salt
    dash Pepper
    2 c. Milk
    1/4 - 1/2 c. finely chopped Onion (optional)
    8 oz. sharp process American Cheese, cubed (2 cups)
Preparation
    Cook Macaroni in boiling salted water until tender; drain.
    In saucepan, melt Butter; blend in Flour, Salt and Pepper.
    Add Milk; cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Add Onion if desired and Cheese stir until melted.
    Mix Cheese sauce with Macaroni.
    Turn into 1-1/2 quart casserole.
    Bake at 350 for 55 - 60 minutes or until heated through.
    Makes 6 servings.
