Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. self-rising cornmeal mix
3/4 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion, chopped

Preparation

Combine cornmeal, milk, egg and onion.
Mix well.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into deep fryer (hot oil at 375\u00b0) frying only a few at a time until golden brown.
Drain on paper towel.
Makes about 2 dozen hush puppies.
