Grandmother'S Pinto Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Casserole Brand dried pinto beans
    2 qt. water
    2 tsp. paprika
    3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Place pinto beans, water, bacon drippings and salt in a large pot; bring to a rapid boil for 20 minutes.
    Turn heat off.
    Place lid on pot and let sit for 30 minutes.
    Turn heat on and bring to a rapid boil.
    Turn heat down to medium boil.
    In 1 hour, add paprika.
    Cook beans until they are soft, about 1 1/2 hours. Remove lid and boil rapidly until juice thickens, stirring as juice is boiling.
