Turtle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
4 Tbsp. margarine
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation

Prepare cake mix according to directions.
Pour 1/2 batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Set remaining batter aside. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 minutes.
While cake is baking, melt caramels, milk and butter together.
Stir in nuts.
Sprinkle baked part of cake with chocolate chips, pour caramel mix over that, then pour remaining cake batter on the top.
Return pan to oven; bake another 20 minutes.
Cut into squares to serve.
