Onion-Mushroom Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 clove garlic
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. wine (optional)
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
1 c. thinly sliced green onions
Preparation

Saute garlic in butter in a large skillet. Add 1 tablespoon flour and stir until brown. Add water, wine and pepper. Bring to a boil, cooking over low heat, stirring constantly. When smooth and thick, add mushrooms and onions and cook until thoroughly heated. Serve hot over beef patties or steak.
Also good over chicken. Yields about 3 cups.
