Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 c. cocoa
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Beat together all ingredients and pour half of batter into greased and floured tube pan.
Spoon filling on top of batter, then pour remainder of batter over top.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 60 to 75 minutes.
Cool 15 to 25 minutes in pan.
