Varsity Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. diced potatoes
1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. sliced celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. boiling water
1/3 c. margarine
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, crisp and crumbled
Preparation
-
Mix potatoes, carrots, celery, onion and salt and pepper in a saucepan; add boiling water.
Cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender; do not drain.
