Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. yellow corn meal
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. oil
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Grease an 8-inch square baking pan or a 10-inch iron skillet.
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Stir in corn meal.
In a medium size bowl, beat eggs with a fork just enough to blend yolks and whites.
Stir in milk and oil with egg mixture.
Add dry ingredients and stir to blend thoroughly.
Beat just until smooth.
Pour into greased pan and bake about 25 minutes.
