Eileen'S Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    14 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. coarsely cut nuts
    1 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt shortening.
    Beat eggs until light.
    Add sugar, then shortening and blend.
    Add flour, cocoa, vanilla and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Pour batter into waxed paper-lined 9 x 13-inch oblong cake pan.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool and cut into squares.
    Makes 32.
