9-Day Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cabbage, chopped fine
    2 green peppers, sliced
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. Wesson oil
    1 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Let stand cabbage, peppers, onions and sugar, then prepare Wesson oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and celery.
    Bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage.
    Stir well to dissolve sugar.
    Cool well before serving.
    Flavor improves with age.
