Quick Tamale Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. melted fat or salad oil
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes (No. 2 can)
    1 can corn
    1 pkg. corn muffin mix
Preparation
    Heat fat in skillet.
    Add onion and seasonings.
    Brown meat and drain off excess fat.
    Add corn and tomatoes and bring to a boil.
    Pour into a 2-quart baking dish.
    Stir up the corn muffin mix and spoon over mixture.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes. Serves 6.
