Candied Cranberries - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. sugar
4 c. cranberries
1 1/2 c. water
sugar
Preparation

In a saucepan, combine the 2 1/2 cups sugar and the water; bring to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Place cranberries in a 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking pan.
Pour boiling syrup over cranberries. Bake in 300\u00b0 oven, uncovered, for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cover loosely and store overnight.
