Sausage-Beef Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. smoked sausage, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
1 lb. beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 large onion, sliced
2 cloves minced garlic
2 seeded and quartered green bell peppers
4 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 (1 lb.) cans red kidney beans, drained
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Brown smoked sausage and beef and place in a 2 1/2 to 3-quart casserole.
Cook onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon drippings until tender.
Add green bell peppers and cook 1 minute longer, stirring.
Add to meat in casserole.
Add beans and potatoes to casserole.
Sprinkle with basil, salt and pepper.
Toss lightly. Dissolve bouillon cubes and hot water.
Pour over casserole. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
