Beef And Potato Puff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 lb. beef stew meat
salad oil
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
1 c. water
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 to 1 tsp. nutmeg
salt and pepper to taste
instant mashed potatoes (4 servings)
Preparation

Brown meat in salad oil.
Drain.
Stir in gravy mix, water, mushrooms, salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
Prepare potatoes as directed.
Stir in nutmeg and cheese to potato mixture.
Pour beef mixture into casserole dish or baking pan (9 x 9-inch); spoon the potato mixture evenly over beef.
Sprinkle top with a little paprika if desired.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Serves 4.
