Maggie'S Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hamburger meat (good quality)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium bay leaf
    1 small pkg. frozen peas
    6 large, peeled potatoes, mashed
    Worcestershire sauce to taste
    salt to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Fry onion until clear.
    Add hamburger meat and brown.
    Drain off fat.
    Add water to cover.
    Add bay leaf and Worcestershire sauce to taste.
    Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
    In the meantime, peel, boil and mash potatoes.
    Pour hamburger mixture into 4-quart casserole dish.
    Add frozen peas.
    Top mixture with mashed potatoes.
    Put in oven at 350\u00b0 until top of potatoes are brown (20 minutes or so).
    Serve with Brussels sprouts on the side.
