Apple Brown Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced apples
    1/4 c. orange juice
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Mound apples in buttered 9-inch pie plate; sprinkle with orange juice.
    Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt.
    Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
    Sprinkle over apples.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until the apples are tender and topping is crisp.
    Serve warm with whipped cream if desired.
