Refrigerator Dills - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 heads dill
1/4 tsp. alum
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
8 c. water
3/4 c. coarse salt
2 c. vinegar
Preparation

Put dill in bottom of a 1-gallon jar.
Stuff jar with pickles. Makes 1 gallon plus 2 quarts.
Will keep for weeks in refrigerator.
