Quick Vegetable-Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can tomatoes, mashed
    1 (No. 2) can mixed vegetables
    2 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 onion, sliced
    3/4 to 1 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Bring the first 3 ingredients to a boil.
    Add tomato sauce and onion.
    Crumble in uncooked beef.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes to an hour, adding water as needed.
    Add 1 tablespoon sugar before serving.
