Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/4 c. self-rising meal
3 Tbsp. self-rising flour
1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 egg
1 c. milk or water

Preparation

Combine corn meal, flour and onion; add egg.
Gradually beat in milk or water.
Drop from spoon into hot fat.
Fry until golden brown, turning.
Makes about 16 small hush puppies.
