Everlasting Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium size head green cabbage, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Shred cabbage.
    Chop pepper and onion and mix together.
    Boil together vinegar, sugar, salt and spices only until they are well blended.
    Pour over slaw and set several hours before serving. Store in refrigerator.
