Pear Pickle By Grandma - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 qt. pears
    8 c. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
Preparation
    Peel pears and cut as for canning.
    Place in pot large enough to add sugar and vinegar.
    Tie pickle spices in a thin white cloth.
    Put in with other ingredients. Cook until syrup turns red. Put in jars and seal while hot.
