Christmas Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    8 egg yolks
    1 tsp. salt
    1 gal. milk
    8 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. cream, whipped
Preparation
    Beat in 1/3 cup sugar in egg yolks.
    Add salt.
    Stir in milk, slowly.
    Cook over medium heat until it coats a spoon, about 25 minutes.
    Cool to room temperature.
