Creamed Beef On Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 small diced onion
    1 qt. whole milk
    5 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. cold water
    fresh garlic or garlic powder to taste (if desired, optional)
Preparation
    In 10-inch frypan, combine beef, salt, pepper and onion.
    Cook until done.
    Drain well.
    Return to frypan and add milk.
    Bring mixture to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring as needed to avoid sticking.
