Cloverleaf Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. hot water
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. hot water
    1 well beaten egg
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients.
    Dissolve yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in water; add to first mixture.
    Add egg and enough flour so dough can be kneaded on board.
    Roll in small balls.
    Put 3 in each muffin pan that has been greased.
    Cover and let rise to double in size.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
