Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sugar
5 egg yolks
2 cup flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 can coconut
1 can nuts
5 egg whites stiffly beaten
Preparation

Cream margarine, oil, sugar; beat until smooth.
Add egg yolks, beat well.
Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in vanilla; add coconut and nuts.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 8-inch pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Make 2 batches for 2 larger sheet cake (1 at at time).
