Cheese Grits Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    2 to 3 garlic cloves
    1/4 c. chopped jalapeno peppers
    1 c. hot cooked grits, cooked in milk, not water
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Butter a 2-quart casserole dish.
    Stir in cheese, butter, nutmeg, salt, peppers and garlic into hot grits.
    Beat eggs; mix into grits.
    Pour into dish.
    Bake 30 to 40 minutes.
