Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
    2 onions, sliced
    1 carrot, pared and sliced
    1 rib celery, chopped
    7 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. parsley
    5 c. water
    pepper to taste
    1/3 c. oleo
    1 c. evaporated milk
    chopped chives
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Place the first 6 ingredients in enough of the water (1 to 1 1/2 cups) and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer until the vegetables are tender.
    Remove from the heat and mash the vegetables.
    Add the remaining ingredients, all but milk.
    Return to heat and bring to a boil.
    Add the evaporated milk.
    Turn heat off.
    Serves 6.
