French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 slices stale white bread
Preparation
    Beat egg with milk.
    Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Soak both sides of bread in this mixture for a couple of minutes. Fry in melted butter or shortening until naturally brown on both sides.
    Serve with powdered sugar.
