Pear Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 c. peeled, chopped pears
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the butter gradually, then beat in sugar.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add to egg mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in pears and vanilla.
    Pour into buttered 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
