Northern Chinese Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pork steaks
    1 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1 yellow onion
    2 carrots
    1 garlic clove, chopped
    hot pepper sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. light soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger
    2 celery stalks
    peanut oil
    salt (optional)
    garlic paste to taste
    6 Tbsp. chicken broth
Preparation
    Debone pork, cube and marinate in soy sauce, sherry and ginger.
    Meanwhile, peel and chop onion and celery and grate carrots into coarse pieces.
