Praline Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    1 c. shortening (I use Crisco)
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. oatmeal (regular or Quick Quaker oats)
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Add flour and soda, mixing well.
    Add oatmeal, mixing well. Form into two long rolls and chill for at least 1 hour.
    Slice into 1/4-inch slices and bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown.
