Rice Lentil Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1 c. uncooked brown rice
    3 c. water
    1 tomato, peeled and chopped
    1/4 c. dried lentils
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. shredded carrot
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pinch of pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, covered, 45 minutes.
