Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. soda
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 Tbsp. lukewarm water
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Sift together dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Add yeast and buttermilk to dry ingredients. Knead dough to hold together.
Chill dough, covered with a towel. Put in refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight. Roll out dough about 1/2-inch thick and cut into rounds with 2-inch biscuit cutter. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
