Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers, enough medium size to fill 1 qt. jars
    2 garlic buds
    2 Tbsp. canning salt
    1/4 tsp. alum
    equal amounts vinegar and water
Preparation
    Fill enough jars to fill cooker with ingredients.
    Put on lids.
    Place jars in cooker with water just over the lids.
    Bring to good boil.
    Remove jars and place in sun for 8 hours.
    Ready to use in 2 weeks.
