Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 Granny Smith apples, sliced thin
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    4 eggs
    1 c. oil
    1/4 c. orange juice
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix apples, 5 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
    Set aside. Sift together flour, baking powder and 2 cups of sugar.
    Add nuts. Set aside.
    In large bowl, beat for 5 minutes, eggs, oil, orange juice and vanilla.
    Stir into flour mixture until well blended. Put into either a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan or greased and floured angel food cake pan in the following order:
    1/3 batter, 1 layer apple mixture, 1/3 batter, 1 layer apple mixture, 1/3 batter, ending with apple mixture on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
