Seafood Chowder Base - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 Tbsp. fresh butter
    1 heaping Tbsp. fresh garlic
    2 c. whole milk
    3 large potatoes
    1/2 tsp. basil*
    1/2 tsp. pepper, preferably crushed*
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 c. cream
    2 c. fish or seafood
    1 Tbsp. salt*
    2 Tbsp. parsley*
    1/4 tsp. thyme*
Preparation
    *Two Swiss Knorr fish bouillon cubes can be substituted for salt, basil, parsley, thyme and pepper.
