Country Fried Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. boneless round steak
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. oil
    1 onion, sliced
    1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Pound steak with mallet; cut into serving size pieces.
    Put into eggs, coating both sides with 1/2 cup flour.
    Brown in oil; set aside.
    Cook onions until tender.
    Remove onions and set aside. Return steak and add 1/2 to 1 cup of water.
    Simmer for 1 hour. Remove steak; add 1/4 cup flour to pan drippings, stirring constantly.
    Gradually add milk and cook until smooth and thick. Add steak and onions and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
