Snow Covered Almond Crescents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) margarine, softened
    3/4 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. almond extract or 2 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 c. Quaker oats (Quick or Old-fashioned, uncooked)
    1/2 c. finely chopped almonds
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Beat margarine, sugar and almond extract until well blended.
    Add flour and salt; mix well until well blended.
    Stir in oats and almonds.
    Using level measuring tablespoonful, shape dough into crescents.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 14 to 17 minutes.
    Sift powdered sugar over cookies. Store tightly covered.
