My Mother'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    3 cans tomato sauce plus 1 can water
    1 can tomato paste
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. oregano (best left out for young children)
    dash of parsley flakes
    1 lb. thin spaghetti, cooked according to directions
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, draining off excess fat.
    Add remaining ingredients (except for spaghetti) and simmer slowly, stirring often, for about 30 minutes to an hour (more if you have time, but don't let it cook more than 1 1/2 hours).
    Serve spooned over the cooked spaghetti on a platter.
