Floretta Flynn'S Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
milk
Preparation

Sift flour and salt together.
Mix in shortening with fork. Blend well.
Add milk to make stiff dough.
Divide into 3 or 4 parts.
Roll out thin on floured surface. Cut into narrow strips. Bring chicken broth to a boil.
Add dumplings one strip at a time, until all have been added.
Place chicken that has been removed from bones on top of dumplings.
Stir slightly to keep from sticking.
Cook over low heat 10 to 12 minutes.
Turn off heat and let stand until ready to serve.
Serve hot.
