Chocolate Angel Pie In Meringue Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sifted sugar
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat until foamy the egg whites, salt and cream of tartar. Add sugar 2 tablespoons at a time and beat.
    Fold in nuts and vanilla.
    Spoon into lightly greased 8-inch pie pan.
    Make a nest-like shell.
    Build up sides 1/2-inch above edge of pan.
    Bake slow and cool.
