Old-Fashion Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. dried beans
    1 whole onion
    2/3 c. dark molasses
    4 tsp. salt
    1 lb. salt pork
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight; boil gently for 1 1/2 hours.
    Drain; save liquid.
    Dice salt pork and divide.
    Put half in the bottom of a pot and add whole onion.
    Put beans in next and top with remaining pork.
    Mix remaining ingredients with bean liquid and pour over beans.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 4 hours, adding liquid when needed.
