Party Mints - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 T. butter or oleo, softened
3 T. hot water
1 lb. confectioners sugar
1/4 t. candy oil (desired flavor)
Food coloring (desired color)
Granulated sugar
Preparation

Combine butter, hot water, candy oil and several drops of food coloring in a medium bowl. Gradually add confectioners sugar, mixing thoroughly to make a very stiff, smooth candy. Shake small plastic or rubber molds in granulated sugar. Press a small amount of candy into each mold, leveling off the bottom. Unmold onto waxed paper and \"dry\" lightly covered at room temperature for at least 24 hours. Store airtight in a cool, dry place.
