Flap Jacks(Camp Style) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. milk
water
shortening
Preparation

Place flour in mixing bowl.
Add milk and water.
Mix well, adding water as needed to make batter medium thick.
Use 10-inch cast iron skillet.
Melt shortening on camp stove enough to cover bottom of pan.
Pour batter into pan to cover bottom with thin layer in 3/4 circle for one large flap-jack.
Fry until bubbly and brown on under side.
Flip into air and turn (hopefully) catching back in pan.
Add shortening as needed while cooking and after each one is cooked, brown other side and remove from pan.
Finish cooking other flap jacks.
Eat with eggs, bacon, jelly, jam, syrup, etc.
