Mother'S Molasses Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. plain flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp. ginger
    3 tsp. soda
    3 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. cinnamon or vanilla
Preparation
    Put soda in flour.
    Add vinegar to buttermilk, then mix with ingredients as listed.
    Bake in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 or 40 minutes.
