Homemade Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    8 eggs, beaten
    2 small cartons whipping cream
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients and cook until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
    Cool slightly.
    Pour into freezer can.
    Add whipping cream and vanilla.
    Fill can with milk.
    You can add 2 to 3 cups of your favorite fruit, if desired.
    Freeze until firm.
