Hamburger Noodle Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
3/4 lb. ground beef chuck
1 medium onion, sliced
1 c. water
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 (No. 2) can peas
8 oz. noodles, cooked until tender
Preparation

Heat butter or bacon fat in skillet; add meat and stir until very lightly browned.
Add onion, water, tomatoes and salt; cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add peas with their liquid and cooked noodles and cook, uncovered, stirring frequently, 10 or 15 minutes longer, or until as much liquid as desired has evaporated.
Add more seasonings if desired and serve hot.
Makes 5 servings.
