Chuck Wagon Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef roast, cut in cubes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 bay leaf
    2 tomatoes, peeled and quartered
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    6 small potatoes, peeled and quartered
    6 carrots, cut in pieces
    6 small onions
    3 to 4 stalks celery, cut in pieces
    1 c. frozen peas
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown meat and onions.
    Add all remaining ingredients (except peas).
    Cook and simmer 2 to 3 hours.
    Add peas the last 30 minutes.
