Chicken Mayo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. frying chicken, cut up
2 Tbsp. butter
salt and pepper
1 (11 oz.) can sauerkraut
1 medium onion, quartered and cut into strips
1 medium red apple (unpeeled), sliced
Preparation

Wash and dry chicken.
In a 10-inch skillet, heat the butter; add chicken and brown on both sides.
Remove and sprinkle with salt and pepper (if chicken doesn't give off fat, you have have to add a little more butter).
Arrange chicken in a heavy 4-quart casserole or Dutch oven.
Remove all but 2 tablespoons fat from skillet.
Mix in sauerkraut, onion and apples; place mixture on top of chicken.
Cover tightly and bake in a 325\u00b0 oven until chicken is tender, about 1 hour.
