Helen'S Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. light cream
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/16 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    3/4 to 1 c. chopped pecans
    pie crust for 9-inch pie
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter together until smooth. Add cream, white Karo syrup and salt. Blend until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg. Pour into a 9-inch pie crust. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes until slightly browned and thickened. Then sprinkle the pecans on top of the pie and bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes until knife inserted between edge and middle comes out clean. Serve plain or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
